Handwoven Molkalmuru Silk Sari:
Project Dhruvi , A Steadfast Creation
Named after the Sanskrit word for “steadfast,” Dhruvi draws inspiration from the Pole Star — a symbol of constancy and light. Woven in Parvai’s own studio on a loom set up exclusively for this project, Dhruvi was created by three in-house weaving artists using fine double-ply Karnataka mulberry silk and 2-gram real zari. Its satin-like sheen and rich drape are achieved through precise reed setting and disciplined craftsmanship.
The sari celebrates the brilliance of the historic Karnataka weave, where colour and zari meet in dazzling harmony. The body features delicate extra-weft floral motifs, while the pallu carries twin Konia (paisley) motifs, timeless emblems of prosperity and continuity.
