Inspired by the rich heritage of Chhattisgarh, renowned for Kosa, Kansa and Kanchan, this sari brings together hand-reeled Kosa silk and pure zari in a celebration of indigenous craftsmanship. Woven with the natural sheen and texture that make Kosa silk so distinctive, it features traditional zari-meenakari Kumbha motifs inspired by the region’s artistic traditions.

Handwoven on a traditional Jala loom, the sari requires weeks of preparation and weaving, with intricate motifs created through the labour-intensive extra-weft technique. Light, airy and comfortable, it offers an elegant drape while remaining durable, sustainable and biodegradable. The addition of pure zari lends a quiet richness, making it equally suited for everyday elegance and special occasions.

This Parvai Original, woven by master artisans of the Dewangan community, supports an entire ecosystem of indigenous sericulture, hand-reeling and weaving traditions. Produced as a single edition and never replicated, every Kanchan sari is a unique expression of heritage, skill and human ingenuity. The textile has been further enriched with delicate mirror embroidery, meticulously executed by skilled women artisans in Kerala. Thoughtfully integrated into the design, the embroidery adds a subtle sparkle and contemporary aesthetic while honouring the handmade character of the sari.
