Handwoven Linen Saree

Our handwoven linen collection begins in the fields of West Bengal, where flax is cultivated alongside seasonal crops. The fibres are then taken to Bhagalpur, one of India's oldest weaving regions, where they are processed, spun into fine linen yarn, and handwoven by eighth-generation weaving families. For generations, these artisan families have worked with natural fibres, linen, cotton and silk. Their knowledge has never been learnt from books, but passed from one generation to the next, through years of observation, practice and patience. Every sari they weave carries this quiet legacy of skill.

Many of our linen saris then travel to artisan communities across India, where they are hand block printed using hand-carved wooden blocks and natural dyes. Every stage is completed slowly and thoughtfully, preserving the individuality that only handcrafted textiles can possess.

The result is a sari that feels effortless to wear. Woven from premium 80s Lea linen, it is naturally breathable, beautifully lightweight and soft against the skin. With every wear, the fabric becomes gentler, developing a drape and character that is uniquely yours.

Designed for everyday living rather than special occasions, these are saris made to be worn often, loved deeply and treasured for years to come.

From Field to Fabric

A Parvai linen sari is never the work of one person. It begins with the farmer who grows the flax, continues with the artisans who process and spin the fibre, is woven by generations of skilled weavers in Bhagalpur, and finally passes through the hands of printers, dyers and finishers before reaching you.

Every sari is a reminder that the most beautiful things are not made by machines, but by people. That is the beauty we hope you see, and the story you carry every time you wear Parvai.
