Handwoven in Kanchipuram on a traditional three-shuttle floor loom, this exceptional Korvai silk sari celebrates one of South India's most revered weaving traditions. A rich purple body is framed by striking 14-inch cardamom green borders, seamlessly joined using the classic 2 cm saw-tooth Korvai technique.
The borders feature 870 individually woven kamalam (lotus) motifs, each painstakingly created using the intricate Adai technique, alongside a delicate band of fine woven checks. A traditional seepu reku pallu completes the composition, paying homage to the elegance of vintage Kanchipuram silks.
Woven from pure mulberry silk (2-ply warp and 4-ply weft), this one-of-one creation required over 200 hours of skilled craftsmanship. Every detail reflects the patience, precision and artistry of the weavers, resulting in a timeless heirloom designed to be treasured for generations.
