Handwoven Kanchipuram Silk Sari : A Parvai Original
A striking Kanchipuram silk sari that celebrates classic craftsmanship through asthetic contrasts and intricate detailing. Broad contrast borders are created by using different colours in the body and border warp, lending the drape a strong visual definition. The shot light pink borders are adorned with a watch strap border, accentuated along both edges with a traditional reku design. The striking mAron selvedge gives prominence to the colours within the body of the sari.
The red body features large checks delicately formed with fine zari lines, adding depth and subtle shimmer. Scattered across the body, a stylised reku motif is individually handwoven using the adai technique, highlighting the artisan’s finesse. Completing the sari is a shot pink pallu, featuring a luminous central zari band, beautifully attached to the maroon borders with reku detailing, an elegant finish to this regal weave.
The sari is woven using mulberry silk & 2 G zari and weighs around 760 grams. The sari comes with a maroon 1-meter plain Silk blouse
