‘Malini’ is an attempt by three daughters to recreate their mother’s 40 year old Kanchipuram sari. A classic drape woven to symbolize the timeless, boundless and endless love between a mother and child.
A timeless Kanchipuram silk sari in a majestic blue with hand knotted korvai borders, in a brilliant shade of yellow. This sari was handwoven on a three shuttle loom. The highlight of the sari is the unusual vel border with pinnate pattern on the leaves. The pallu is a continuation of the body and features three bands done in thazhambu reku. The body features delicate rudraksha motifs done on adai all across the length of the body. This sari is the exact remake of the original.
