Ambassadors of Heritage and Crafts Foundation
A Parvai Endeavour | Since 2016
The Ambassadors of Heritage and Crafts Foundation (AHC Foundation) was born from a simple yet transformative idea:
To create a free, inclusive community where craft patrons and creators could meet—honestly, equally, and with shared purpose.
Founded in 2016 by a small collective of passionate, craft-loving women, AHC emerged as a bridge between those who make with their hands and those who cherish these creations with their hearts. What began as an intimate initiative has since evolved into a growing movement—one rooted in mutual respect and a common desire to bring about meaningful change in the lives of India’s craftspeople.
At its core, AHC represents the conscientious patron—curious, informed, and deeply invested in the soul of what they wear or use—and the committed artisan, who is eager to understand and serve patrons with honesty, creativity, and care.
We are more than admirers of tradition—we are campaigners for a cleaner, safer, and fairer craft ecosystem. One that is transparent and accountable to its makers, and nurtured by its wearers.
Through research, education, collaboration, mobilization, and advocacy, we work to rewrite the story of Indian craft—not as a nostalgic memory, but as a living, evolving force for change.
We believe that with structural reform and genuine connection, craft can uplift millions, restore pride in handmade work, and spark a renaissance of beauty, dignity, and shared humanity.
Our Vision
To empower both patrons and craft creators in equal measure—reviving India’s artisanal legacy with a refreshing, spirited dialogue that inspires responsibility, joy, and respect on both sides of the loom.
