Parvai’s Classic Bagru Prints represent the evolving design vocabulary of traditional hand block printing. Born from experimentation, innovation and the exchange of artistic influences, these patterns move beyond the established repertoire of Bagru, drawing inspiration from other printing traditions, regional motifs and contemporary design preferences.
Unlike heritage patterns, which often demand intricate, repetitive and labour-intensive printing, the Classic range offers artisans greater freedom to explore new compositions, reinterpret familiar motifs and experiment with combinations of design languages. One may encounter patterns inspired by Ajrakh, motifs borrowed from other regional textile traditions, or entirely new arrangements developed through creative exploration.
While the patterns continue to evolve, the fundamental process of hand block printing remains rooted in Bagru’s established craft practices. Printed on silk cotton, these saris reflect a living tradition, one that honours inherited skills while allowing craftspeople the freedom to innovate, adapt and respond to changing tastes.

A few things we would like you to know
Care
Air your Parvai sari after wear and store it in a clean cotton or muslin cover, away from direct sunlight, moisture and plastic. Refold it from time to time so that the same creases do not remain under stress, especially along zari-rich borders and pallus. Heavier saris are best stored folded or gently rolled rather than hung for long periods. Clean only when necessary, preferably through a trusted specialist familiar with fine silk and handwoven textiles.
Handwoven Character
Every Parvai textile is handmade and may carry slight variations in weave, texture, colour, motif placement, finish or dimensions. These are natural to the making process and are part of the textile’s character, not defects. Measurements and weights are approximate.
Colour
