

Parvai Handwoven Kanchipuram Silk Sari
Handwoven in Kanchipuram on a traditional three-shuttle floor loom, this exceptional Korvai silk sari celebrates one of South India's most revered weaving traditions. A rich purple body is framed by striking 14-inch cardamom green borders, seamlessly joined using the classic 2 cm saw-tooth Korvai technique.The borders feature 870 individually woven kamalam (lotus) motifs in 3G zari , each painstakingly created using the traditional Adai technique, alongside a delicate band of fine woven checks. A traditional seepu reku pallu completes the composition, paying homage to the elegance of vintage Kanchipuram silks. Woven from pure mulberry silk (2-ply warp and 4-ply weft) and weighing 720 grams this sari required over 200 hours of skilled craftsmanship. This sari has beenwoven by two women weavers. Every detail reflects the patience, precision and artistry of the weavers, resulting in a timeless heirloom designed to be treasured for generations.
