Parvai Real Zari Korvai Silk Sari - Special Commissions
This sari is part of a special Parvai commission to recreate a design from existing family heirlooms, carrying forward its original geometric language and proportions.
Woven as a Korvai silk sari, the deep blue-purple body is scattered with small fourfold geometric zari buttas that appear like sparkling diamonds. The contrasting Thakkali red 5.25-inch Korvai border has a strong architectural character, with repeated diamond and crossed geometric forms. The 33-inch pallu develops this vocabulary into a richly ornamented honeycomb-like structure, punctuated with dots and dense zari detailing.
The sari is woven with real zari containing approximately 5 grams of gold, 40% silver, with the remaining metal content in copper. It forms part of Parvai’s Real Zari collection only after the zari is independently tested and supported by a retest report. Weighing approximately 753 grams, the sari contains nearly 160 grams of zari, about 21% of its total weight, and approximately 590 grams of pure silk.
The sari comes without a blouse piece. A plain matching Thakkali red blouse can be arranged separately at an additional cost.

A few things we would like you to know
Care
Air your Parvai sari after wear and store it in a clean cotton or muslin cover, away from direct sunlight, moisture and plastic. Refold it from time to time so that the same creases do not remain under stress, especially along zari-rich borders and pallus. Heavier saris are best stored folded or gently rolled rather than hung for long periods. Clean only when necessary, preferably through a trusted specialist familiar with fine silk and handwoven textiles.
Handwoven Character
Every Parvai textile is handmade and may carry slight variations in weave, texture, colour, motif placement, finish or dimensions. These are natural to the making process and are part of the textile’s character, not defects. Measurements and weights are approximate.
Colour
