A rare confluence of two living legacies, hand-block printing from Farrukhabad, was brought onto handwoven Kanchipuram silk. Each sari is woven slowly on traditional looms and then printed by master artisans using hand-carved wooden blocks, allowing the silk to carry both the architectural strength of Kanchipuram and the lyrical finesse of Farrukhabad’s print language. The result is a silk that feels timeless yet contemporary, dignified, expressive, and unmistakably artisanal.

At Parvai, handwoven Kanchipuram silk is a prized and original project, one that aligns closely with our values of creating deeply tactile, enduring textile experiences. Every sari begins at the yarn level, where uncompromising quality ensures strength, lustre, and longevity. Revered for its exceptional drape and dignified fall, Kanchipuram silk balances structure with softness, holding form while moving gracefully with the body. Its dense, robust weave becomes an extraordinary canvas for printing, absorbing colour with remarkable depth, minimising dye wastage, and yielding rich, saturated hues that mature beautifully over time. When paired with the refined block-printing legacy of Farrukhabad, the result is a textile of rare equilibrium, where architectural silk meets precision printing. These saris are not adaptations; they are Parvai originals, crafted to honour material integrity, artisan mastery, and timeless beauty.
